Chair of the jury

Jana Žižková

packaging specialist

For Jana, the fascinating thing about packaging is that humanity can't do without it, even though it tries sometimes. Once she entered the world of packaging many years ago, she became engrossed in it and she doesn't want to or can't leave it... In other words: She believes in packaging; there is no world without packaging.

Jurors

Hana Hradecká

Hanka has been involved in packaging, or rather packaging waste, its sorting and recycling for over thirty years, and for the last 26 years she has been part of the team of the Authorized Packaging Company EKO-KOM. She likes packaging that works well, and if it can be sorted and recycled well, her garbage collector's heart rejoices.

As a representative of the National Institute of Health on the jury, Jitka is interested in the main critical function of the packaging. That the packaging protects the product and thus the health of the population.

Jiří Hejduk

researcher, teacher with a focus on practical subjects

Jiří works at the University of Pardubice, Department of Polygraphy and Photophysics. He is a real expert in printing technologies.

David Marouš

applied manager

David's area of expertise is transport packaging across the logistics chain, from Chicago to Tokyo. He enjoys devising ways to get completely unsuitable goods for transport, ultimately to their destination safely and securely.

Pavla Cihlářová

CEO

Thanks to my profession, I view packaging as a means of communication — primarily with the consumer, but increasingly also with other institutions. GS1 standards, especially 2D codes supported by the GS1 digital link, are taking this communicative role of packaging to an entirely new level. The physical product is being connected with digital content, which offers countless possibilities.

Michal Dupkala

CEO

It is interesting to see how over the years the function of packaging has shifted, or rather expanded, from a transport and protective to a marketing level, consumers buying with their eyes. I am fascinated by how product packaging and innovations in GS1 standards are enabling us to communicate much more than we could have imagined when connected to the digital world.

Michal Kraus

Creative Director

You could almost say that packaging is my entire professional life. I started as a prepress worker in a printing house and worked my way up through a position in DTP to designing them.
I have been dedicated to packaging design for more than 20 years, and I have worked in practically all the major packaging studios in Prague. For 6 years now, the Lineart agency has been my home port.

Michal Sebíň

CEO

As director of the producer responsibility organisation for packaging NATURPACK, he is an environmentalist at heart, rejecting greenwashing practices. There is a dog in the life of the packaging after its useful life.

Katarína Kretter

Director of Communications

Katka has been working at OZV ENVI - PAK for more than 16 years, where she leads communication experts. He sees packaging as a necessity, thanks to which products reach consumers safely and without damage, and at the same time help sales. It welcomes all packaging innovations that are not at the expense of sustainability.

Václav Mlynář

director

Václav is a director at Panflex and chairman of the Press Society. The most important thing about packaging for him is the harmony of functionality and design. Packaging is a daily challenge for him.

Stanislav Břeň

editor-in-chief

For Stanislav, the package is a detective story, and he still doesn't know how it will all turn out. He likes packaging because to him it is the dress of the product and the best thing about dresses is when they come off.
